MUZIRIS STORY BOARD
Muziris was an Ancient Harbour of INDIA – a Port Built during the 900 BC Period. It is Located about Thirty five (35) Kilometres North of Cochin in the State of Kerala in INDIA. India’s First Jewish, Christian and Islamic settlements were at Muziris, 961 BC, 52 AD and 629 AD respectively.

- Kodungallur Hindu Temple : More than 1000 years old (there was a buddhist heritage also)

- Munambam Fishing Harbour: (Activity begins very early here. As early as 6 a.m.)
- Church of our Lady of Snow: Built at Palliport, by the Portuguese – 1503 A.D.

Points a foreign tourist has to comply to when associating with Hindu shrines in Kerala:
- One should be decently attired before entering the temple premises.
- Alcohol or smoking is strictly prohibited.
- Foot wear should be placed outside the temple premises or compound wall.
- Entry inside the Sanctum Sanctorum is exclusively for Hindus and prohibited
- for others.
- At dusk meditating on the base of the pipal tree is highly beneficial.
- Pipal tree is known to be the only tree in the world to give out the maximum
- amount of Oxygen. Hence if we sit under the pipal tree and meditate, a
- solution can be easily reached.
- Taking circumambulations around the temple,taking deep breaths, ensures
- good intake of oxygen.
